CHM Carrier Imaging Stud7y

Female CHM Carriers Imaging Study
A study at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City aims to recruit female relatives of males presenting with genetically confirmed choroideremia. The study welcomes participants older than 18 years of age. The participants will be given the opportunity to provide informed consent and will receive a free eye examination that will include an evaluation of visual acuity, ocular axial length and fundus photography. Further testing will involve optical coherence tomography, short-wavelength fundus autofluorescence, near-infrared fundus autofluorescence, and dark-adapted visual fields designed to assess rod and cone function. Only one visit of approximately 4 hours is required.
